Morgan Morton

Self-taught artist currently enrolled in school obtaining a Psychology degree with Art Minor to further an Art Therapy career.  Art and painting is truly a way for Morgan to express herself and create emotion and feeling through colors and shapes in her art. She hopes this can help others find in themselves, when words escape them.  She mostly works in abstract style using acrylics and oils but enjoys mixing it up using mixed Medias to create different textures and unconventional canvases.
A main theme in Morgan’s work is nudes and the beauty of the body.  “I feel it’s kind of a shame that nudity is so often sexualized and seen as taboo, when the human body should be embraced and accepted as beautiful and natural.  Everybody is different, so I enjoy show casing the beauty in all of them.”  She combats body shaming by painting and creating diverse pieces to enhance that every Body is Just as it should be.
